Oh. My. God.
Curt Schilling himself starts the game thread for Game 1 of the playoffs over at the Sons of Sam Horn forum.
Tears. Tears, in my eyes. I love that man. I love him. What a frelling amazing pitcher, what a frelling amazing leader for the Red Sox, what a frelling amazing man when it comes to dealing with the media (still squealing gleefully over the radio smack-down), what a frelling amazing man when it comes to interacting with the fans. I still remember when he was first about to be acquired by the Sox. He went onto one of these forums (I think it was also SoSH) and started a long, long thread about it. Took a while for people to believe it was actually him, but he later confirmed it on TV. I'm sure I posted it in here, but it would've been a while back. Anyways. What other sports figure in any other sport, in any other town, goes out of their way in that manner to commune with some of the most dedicated fans they have?
I have an enormous bio test on Wednesday. I am so, so very screwed. If the Red Sox win a few games, it just might be worth it, though.
Sleep now, ought to wake up early and cram in a little studying before lab. Just thought I would share the beauty.
