IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER EVERY TIME I SEE IT nosepilot.com
and now, apparently, the illustrator portfolio of the guy who does nosepilot.com.
I don't care how long it takes your cruddy computer to load. It was ever so slow on my old one and it's ever so quick on my new one. But DO IT ANYWAYS. And once you've seen it in english, see it in french. You'll thank yourself for it afterwards.
NOTHING COMPARES. NOTHING.

Thou whoreson zed, thou unnecessary letter!
My printer is named 'Woodrow', because it tends to forget where it is.
Whew. Thanks to the Kibble that it's Friday. What an interminably slooooooooooooow week this was.
Guess what?? Can't guess? OK. I'll tell you. The Farscape season finale is tonight! I'm psyched!
Guess that's all.

"C'est Arrivé Près de Chez Vous" translates most closely as "Coming to a Theater Near You". So how, how, HOW in the world is it translated in this movie title as "Man Bites Dog'??? Where did that EVER come from??
And if anyone has actually ever seen the above-mentioned movie, please let me know. Because it was one of the most disturbing films I have ever seen, rivalling "Requiem for a Dream" in sheer disturbing content. Other than one seriously wrong and unnerving scene, it was a very good movie...
Anywho, I'd love to discuss it with someone who's actually seen it. That's siamesecats@meowmail.com, if you will.
The lemon balm out front has begun to grow again, spreading its corrugated, waxy green leaves flat to the ground as a prelude to growing up into a small but substantial bushy plant.
Is it a woodchuck or a groundhog? Who cares? it would be better anyways if it were a WOMBAT.
Run! Run in your silly Tevas!
I know it makes no sense but here I go again. (I love the Catherine Wheel)
Speaking of bands I love!! The Sheila Divine's album, Where Have All My Countrymen Gone? won in some big Boston music awards as the best Indie album. Arright! And the Dropkick Murphys won a bunch of awards too. Ah, so nice to be vindicated!
Six Feet Under is on tonight. If you have not seen it, watch it. Watch it. Watch it. I saw one episode and was entirely hooked. A glorious, glorious show.
There's nothing like a bad joke to make the enemy choke. Can't excuse the punchline never works the first time.
Tell the one about the silver spoon that I can't understand. Tell the one about the silver spoon and I won't understand.
Winter gave me shelter but summer left me freezing.
There's nothing like disaster to make the heart beat faster.
There's nothing a bad day to make the enemy say Life is like a bad joke that's always making me choke.

How hard can they make it just to get a stupid course catalog? Near impossible, it seems. Ah, how the great minds of today are concerned with making even the simplest things intricately inatainable.
Benoit Poelvoorde freaks me out. He most assuredly does.
You want something wicked cool? ('wicked' as we say here in MA) Check this stuff out. It blows my mind, in a good way. Really. TooIncredibleforHerOwnFreakingGood
The sky is the color of dark denim. The trees are black. The streetlight is orange and throws a murky orange corona of light around it into the clear, clear dark.
It's nine o'clock don't try to turn it off.

And yes, 'grot' is a word. It means the same thing as 'grotto', but it is in fact a word in it's own right. I made sure.

Ha ha HA! College tour 2002 is in full swing for this critter! The joy is simply inutterable. Here are the considerations as they stand right now, in the order that I remember them:
Harvard. I'll never, ever get in, but I love Cambridge and hey, every cat can dream.
Brown/RISD. I will probably never get into either one of them. But that bit of Providence very nice, lord knows they're good schools, and I reeeeeeeally like the idea of being able to enroll in one and take classes at the other too.
University of Michigan. I like Ann Arbor. It's a big school, so it has all the programs I could ever want. I have heard (uh oh, college gossip!!) that they're very friendly to the artist there. Also, both my parents went there. O yes, and there's some mighty fine football.
Tufts. It was pretty. It's a good school. They let you dual-enroll with them and the Museum School in Boston, which is nice. More importantly, there's a great big hill in the middle of the campus, so when I got lost I would be able to go there and look around for wherever I was supposed to be.
Cornell. For unfathomable reasons, my brother is pushing this one. It's a great campus, and they have a nice big art program and a nice big every other program, practically. It has the added advantage of almost never being hot there (as a cat, I might be expected to like heat. Well, screw that. You can call me a Siberian Tiger if you wish, but I still don't like it). It's a very nice school and I would love to go there if I could somehow ever convince them that my sad little mind was worth having on their nice big campus, but I just don't understand why my brother is so into it.
Amherst College. Well, it's tiny. This is good, in that I would be less likely to get lost. This is bad, in that I grew up in this utterly evil tiny town and I would like to move on from it. It's a good school though, 'excellent' according to my dad, who claims to know all such things. It was a nice foresty-looking campus.
U-Mass. I looked there. It was big. The campus was pretty ugly. I may apply there just because, heck, EVERYONE in Massachusetts applies to U-Mass. I mean, why not?
BC. It was very pretty and pretty big and they had all the programs I want. But it was so.... I don't know. Catholic? Yeah, Catholic. I'm not Catholic.
Brandeis. Nice enough but I wasn't overly impressed, except that their art museum was VERY nice. Even my brother, the epitome of all evil, liked the museum. And they have a big Jewish community. But it wasn't too great.
Carnegie Mellon. I haven't actually been here yet, because my mother claims it's too far away to visit. Even though U of Michigan is farther, and we've already been there. Anywho. It sounds like it has a terrific art program, and their dual-major programs (art and biology) sound perfect for little ol' moi.
C'est tout, that's all, I must go before my kitty kibble is eaten by the rest of the family.

There is at least one Japanese scientist who says that Japan's human population will be entirely overrun by monkeys by 2200 if the monkeys are left unchecked.
This ^ is a serious news cast. Unlike a good deal of this hoo-ha, it's entirely true. Woooaaah.
Harry Potter Movie November 15! Are you as excited as I am?
Hmm. Seems like it should be.
Why does the Mac apple have a bite taken out of it? This seems to indicate that the browning enzymes have been released, and soon the entire apple will be brown and mushy and eventually it will become an indeterminate little pile of mush. Wouldn't it be a much nicer image if the apple was whole and therefore, one could assume, crisp?
Lower case delta looks like a sperm. We all know this, of course.
Oh yes, and what exactly does .cwk mean?
Mmmmmmm texture! Rich and fulfilling! Lumpy and striated and all manner of textures! Smoooooooth as velour! Sleek as lucite! Cold as galvanized steel! Rough as corrugated cardboard (board made out of card, I guess)!
This here is my yellow legal pad with my hexadecimal codings on it. Mwah ha ha ha ha! No, but seriously. EVERYONE should have such a useful little pal in their times of need.
Today I was taking Izzy (3 years old, blue point siamese) out for a walk. He had on his blue and green harness and black leash. An old, old woman came walking down the street. Izzy ran away as fast as his little legs would, could, should carry him. Away away away just as fast as you please. The old, old woman looked curiously after him as he struggled valiantly up the brick red brick stairs.
I want elbows. But man, I could really go for some duh-san-ee right about now. Or is that not how you spell it?
I hate it when my patella sub-luxates. Don't you?
A Discovery Guide to Rocks and Minerals watches over us all, and this cannot be denied, not even by the neurotic parakeets.
Speaking of neurotic parakeets, a certain science teacher at my school has a neurotic lime and orange parrot. He needs someone to take it because it picks out its own feathers, and it has started picking out the feathers of the parrot who lives with it. The vet said that he could give it Prozac to make it stop but that he was uncertain of the dosage, so the Prozac was not applied. This certain science teacher also has a fat bullfrog tadpole with little, tiny, perfectly formed legs. But only back legs so far.
He delivers and he punches him out! He throws him with that pitch, Ben.
If you were me, would you enter safe mode? I am tempted, let me tell you, very tempted. Safe mode sounds so, well, so safe. But no, I suppose that I shall continue to exist on the ragged edge of disaster, on the event horizon of the black hole of life. Yes.
This, I dare to think (think to dare?) is one of the better little entries since this booker began. My muse returns and is now firmly ensconced in the little tiny upholstered chair that I provide for him next to the computer for just these sorts of visits. It's green paisley, but it's very tasteful, and the muse likes it. Have you ever seen my muse? He's very tiny, maybe 4 inches high, with orange skin colored like an orange but not bumpy like an orange. His hair is purple. He wears white togas like all the muses ever since the Ancient Greeks and Romans have done. He's a great one for tradition, my muse. He hasn't been to visit in AGES, but I am ever so glad that he is here now, because that little green paisely chair looks awfully silly with no one sitting in it, and sometimes it prompts some pretty awkward questions.
I got nothing more.

White noise, white noise, la di da. All is white noise.
What freaking college is a hedgehog and a fox? One that I am not going to.

As a feline for anarchistic green democracies, I would like to let you know that 20 page history papers due in 2 days are quite possibly the epitome of evil. I believe that the level of evilness in the world would be greatly lessened if we were to abolish all such papers. Also, physics teachers who give you a 90 out of the blue for a term grade are among the few who deserve to be in charge of a good anarchistic green democracy.
Purple and orange are fine, fine colors for a tropical fish.
These new little round speakers for the new iMacs are very aesthetically pleasing. I appreciate them. Anything little and spherical and clear and white and silver is a glorious thing indeed.
I hate the West Wing.
Let's have two parties. You sing.
18 people online. Mon dieu. Where do they all come from? Why are they all here? I could ask them, but the little dinging noise that the IMs make tends to cause my brain to slowly but unmistakably unfold and flop limply down into the lower recesses of my skull.
What do you know?!? Even the air vent is orange! Is nothing spared?? Is nothing sacred??
Tomorrow my math class is going to the science museum. Perhaps this raises some questions in your mind. How can a cat have a math class? Well that's simple. Cat school. Every self-respecting cat goes to cat school. And these fine feline institutions, of course, have math class. Perhaps you also ask, why is a math class (of any species) going to a science museum? The answer? I do not know. I suppose that I will see tomorrow. If it makes any semblance of sense, perhaps I will impart it to you dear readers at a later date.
South Park is on. Au'voir.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! The inevitable has happened! I have finally got a blog back. It may not be the original. It may very well suck. But it sure makes me feel much more like the circle has finally come around to where it should have.
Make no mistake about that. It may be a different name and a new look, but it's CatBlog alright. Older, wiser, more wily than every in the ways of Macs and internet, but back nonetheless.
Nothing interesting happened today so I suppose that that will be all until the muse returns to me.
But one final thought.
Nature abhors a naked singularity.
